At the end of year 8 students are invited to apply for our Sports Leaders programme which takes place in year 9.  Students attend practice each Wednesday morning from 8am until 8.45am where they learn how to become young sports leaders.  They then help out at various sports events throughout the school year as leaders and officials putting their knowledge and skills into practice.  This includes events within school and within the Wickersley Partnership Trust as well as further afield.  In particular these young leaders play a vital role in the School Games programmes enabling a full timetable of competitions for primary and secondary aged pupils across Rotherham and even further across South Yorkshire for the regional finals.
