Wickersley Pledges – ‘We work hard’ at KS3

Rebecca Pike in Year 7 has completed the ‘We work hard‘ bronze level of Wickersley Pledges by thoroughly researching her personal family ancestry.

Rebecca has produced a superbly researched narrative reflection about her great, great, great aunty Evelyn.

Rebecca discovered that Evelyn Pike was recognised with the Royal Red Cross for her substantial efforts towards the development of nursing practice and due to her work during World War One in unimaginable conditions.

Rebecca’s research into an example of ‘overcoming adversity through outstanding effort’ is exemplary, personal and is a terrific start towards completing her KS3 Wickersley Pledges.

Well done Rebecca, we are so proud of you.
