Former world boxing champions Junior Witter, Johnny Nelson and Kell Brook visited Wickersley School on the 19th March to work with a group of 70 lucky students. The boxers took the time to discuss their careers and delivered motivational talks on how it is important to believe in yourself and rise to challenges. Our students were invited to take part in striking pads held by the champions while they coached the correct techniques. Two students were also challenged to spar with Kell Brook; both found it difficult to lay a glove on him!
The former world champions were fantastic with our students, answering questions and posing for selfies. It was a great experience for all involved and one that our students will remember forever.
